‘Imagine opening your phone book and being able to speak to the best fast bowlers and coaches in world cricket. That’s Pace Journal!’
Shahbaz Choudhry, Pace Journal host

For any cricket fan, fast bowling is a spectacle unlike any other. In my youth, watching fast bowlers such as Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar bowling 90mph+ generated huge excitement and fascination.
As a fast bowler myself I understand the difficulties of generating pace, and the insights of Pace Journal provide the perfect resource for any aspiring pace bowler.
Pace Journal’s goal is to unlock the secrets of fast bowling, interviewing various fast bowlers and coaches to understand the aspects of training, fitness and dedication required to bowl fast.
Since starting in August this year, they have already released podcasts with former West Indian fast bowler Tino Best, Middlesex quick Tom Barber as well as fitness coach Richard Stonier. In the near future, Ishant Sharma and Lockie Ferguson will be appearing as featured guests, providing their own take on fast bowling and its secrets.
The concept of Pace Journal is truly unique. For many young (or old!) cricketers looking to improve, advice from international stars is not readily available anywhere else. The opportunity to hear advice on every aspect of fast bowling from the very best is exciting for any age and ability of cricketer. Each podcast is broken down into miniature lessons known as ‘PaceBite’s’, making it more accessible and easier to digest for viewers.
As quoted above, Pace Journal is truly like having the very best in your phone book. Any facet of fast bowling, whether it be nutrition, recovery or training techniques is laid out for any aspiring player by the guests they interview.
In a short space of time, Pace Journal has already proved its unique and intriguing appeal by reaching over 96,000 fans in over 45 countries, and with many more high-profile guests already lined up it can expect to continue growing its reputation within the cricket community.
